How can God be in hell (Ps 139:8; Rev 14:10)?

The second death, which confines the unbeliever to hell, is defined as the permanent separation of the human soul from God. In fact, one of the most significant torments experienced in hell is the withdrawal of God’s influence from the soul. However, God is not actually absent from hell. He is not subject to its torments, of course, but his metaphysical presence is there such that he oversees the eternal operations of hell. No hell-bound creature, however, will ever have the pleasure of fellowship with God.
