What does it mean by Jesus is the Son of God?

The idea of Christ’s sonship should not be regarded in biological terms as though Christ is produced or created by the Father (Arianism). Instead, sonship should be understood in the Hebrew sense of partaking of the nature and quality of the parent term. For instance:

Noah was a son of 500 years (Gen 5:32)—he was characterized by being 500 years old.

Jonah’s gourd was the son of a night (Jonah 4:10)—it was characterized by growing to maturity in a single night.

Judas was a son of perdition (John 11:12).

Barnabas was a son of encouragement (Acts 4:36).

Ezekiel is called a “son of man”—a human—some 95 times in his prophecy.
